On Tuesday, the ceremonial arrival of all the fighters participating in this Saturday’s Riyadh Season at the Kingdom Arena took place; Dmitry Bivol, World Boxing Association (WBA) light heavyweight champion and his challenger Malik Zinad, as well as the rest of the participants of the 5v5 match between Matchroom Boxing and Queensberry Promotions, made their presence known.
With a spectacular set up and an impressive display of the organization, Bivol and Zinad walked down a runway until they reached a large stage where they were interviewed and posed for the hundreds of cameras of the professionals who are covering this great event.
Both said they were in great shape and ready to put on a great show this Saturday as the main event of the night.
On the other hand, promoters Eddie Hearn and Frank Warren also made a kind of face to face on behalf of the fighters of their teams, who will have five fights that generate high expectations for the parity of the same and the quality of the fighters.
The program includes the fights of Raymond Ford’s WBA featherweight title defence vs. Nick Ball. In addition, Deontay Wilder vs. Zhilei Zhang at heavyweight, Daniel Dubois vs. Filip Hrgovic also at heavyweight, Austin Williams vs. Hamzah Sheeraz will fight at light heavyweight and Craig Richards vs. Willy Hutchinson at light heavyweight.
The atmosphere in Riyadh is heating up and now other activities such as public training sessions, press conferences and, of course, the official weigh-in next Friday are expected.
