WBA super welterweight champion Yuri Foreman and former three-time world champion Miguel Cotto both made weight for their schedule 12 round world title fight on Saturday at Yankee Stadium. Foreman (28-0, 8KO)) weighed in at the division limit of 154 lb; Cotto (34-2, 27KO) came in slightly lighter at 153.5 lb.
Both fighters are returning to the ring for the first time since separate bouts on the same pay-per-view telecast last November. The bout will mark Foreman’s first defense of his WBA title, while Cotto makes his debut at the super welterweight limit after having spent the previous three years at welterweight.
