Today the World Boxing Association Family celebrates a new birthday of the former world champion, Johnny Bredahl.
The Viking Warrior was a true fighter of the bantamweight division, where he reigned from April 19, 2002 when he outpointed Venezuela’s Eidy Moya, until February 26, 2005, when he lost with Wladimir Sidorenko.
His first steps in boxing were in the amateur national team, representing his country in the 1988 Seoul Olympics. In December of that year he made his debut in professional boxing and began his way to stardom.
Before winning the black and gold belt, Bredahl was European champion and WBO champion.
