WBA press, November 23. So far, the matchmaker and boxers who participated in the boxing show promoted by World Intermedia Boxing, on October 27 in Caracas, have not received the rest of their payment yet.
The World Boxing Association announced publically that will sue the company for counterfeiting documents. Although this has not been the only inconvenience, arouse from the boing show.
Las Wednesday, the boxing organization gave the company World Intermedia Boxing 72 hours to comply with the payments owed to the people affected by their breach, however, as of today they have not communicated with anybody nor have expressed any intention to solve the situation.
“They paid us the purse in several checks before the fight. Everything indicated that the fight was legal. Besides they assured us the payment would be made without any problem.” Said Gabriel Cordero who represents several Mexican fighters, like José Cabrera.
Cordero sais “as soon as I left Venezuela a had de checks deposited in the United States, and after being checked by an account executive, the check was returned because it had not funds.”.
After a few days he tried to deposit the check again, and it bounced again, this time the reason was Stop Payment and passed directly to an investigation process that American banks make in these cases”, explained Cordero.
He also said that he has received calls from Venezuela, “but more gossip than a true communication, and told them that I am not interested in any agreement.” “Pedro Castillo and Orlando Urdaneta who originally appeared as responsible for the payments, however, they have made changes in the corporation, according to Florida Department State”.

Prensa AMB. 23 de noviembre.- Todavía no han cobrado la totalidad de sus honorarios los diferentes matchamaker y boxeadores involucrados en la cartelera realizada en Caracas, el 27 de Octubre de 2012, organizada por la empresa World Intermedia Boxing.
La Asociación Mundial de Boxeo anunció públicamente que demandará a dicha empresa debido a la falsificación de documentos. Sin embargo, éste no ha sido el único problema que se ha presentado a raíz del evento.
El ente universal dio un plazo de 72 horas (el pasado miércoles), para que la empresa World Intermedia Boxing cumpliera con los pagos a todos los afectados por su incumplimiento, sin embargo hasta el momento, no se han comunicado con ninguno ni han manifestado su intención de solventar la situación.
“A nosotros nos dieron la totalidad de la bolsa en varios cheques, antes de la pelea. Todo indicaba que la pelea era legal. Además, aseguraron que el pago sería realizado sin problemas”, comienza diciendo Gabriel Cordero, quien cumple la función de representante de varios peleadores mexicanos, como José Cabrera.
Cordero asevera que en cuanto salió de Venezuela “mandé a depositar el cheque en los Estados Unidos, y fue consultado por un ejecutivo de cuenta, el cheque fue devuelto por no tener fondos”.
El afectado certifica que unos días después volvió a solicitar el deposito del cheque en los Estados Unidos, “y esta vez la razón fue Stop Payment y pasó directamente al proceso de investigación que suele hacer la banca estadounidense en estos casos”, explicó Cordero.
También dijo que ha recibido llamadas desde Venezuela, “pero más chismes que una comunicación verdadera, y les dije que no me interesa ningún acuerdo. Los señores Pedro Castillo y Orlando Urdaneta aparecían originalmente para hacer los pagos, pero han hechos cambios en la conformación de la Empresa, según Florida Departament State”.
