About 800 people witnessed the first intensive day of fights among athletes from the teams that are part of the WBA FUTURE CHAMPIONS Campus at the Colosseum of Fights, inside the Atanasio Giradot Stadium in Medellin, Colombia.
On this first inaugural day of an event that will last until Sunday, elite boxers made 38 presentations according to the Amateur International Boxing Association (AIBA) regulations, showing a great pugilistic level. This ambitious event has the same World Boxing Association mission and commitment of contributing to the training of young people who sign up for the next qualifying events for the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020.
Boxers with less experience have had the opportunity to prove themselves against Olympic and World leading figures such as Yuberjen Martinez, a silver medal winner in Rio 2016; Lucia Perez, a Pan-american medal winner in Toronto 2015, and other stars that have an extensive international career.
