Murodjon Akhmadaliev was named Boxer of the Month for April by the World Boxing Association (WBA) after his great performance on April 3rd against Japan’s Ryosuke Iwasa.
The pioneer organization released its rankings for the fourth month of the year and the award as most outstanding fighter was for the Uzbek, who made the first fight of his professional career in his native country as well as the first defense of his black and gold belt.
The Super Bantamweight Super Champion scored a fifth-round TKO after a dominant performance against the experienced Japanese, and proved he is the fighter to beat in the division.
Akhmadaliev is a strong, intelligent and tough 26-year-old fighter. His southpaw guard is an uncomfortable tool for his opponents and he knows how to perform in the ring like few fighters today.
The WBA congratulates Akhmadaliev on his award and is eager to see the future performances in his career.
The WBA ranking lists for the month of April can be found in the corresponding section of the WBA’s official website.
