Andy Ruiz and Luis Ortiz will face each other on September 4 in a highly anticipated bout of two great heavyweights as the star of the evening to be held at Crypto.com, in Los Angeles, California.

Ruiz and Ortiz are two experienced fighters who have faced some of the best heavyweights in recent years and have always put on excellent fights.

The Mexican has not fought since May 2021 when he reappeared and defeated Chris Arreola. He had previously lost the world titles of the category against Anthony Joshua and began his recovery that will continue against Ortiz in September.

The Cuban “King Kong” arrives in a similar situation after losing by knockout to Deontay Wilder in 2019. He has since made two winning fights against Alexander Flores in 2020 and Charles Martin in 2022.

A win will be a great opportunity for both to move closer to another title shot and prove they are still on the top of the division. This is an intriguing matchup with two high-level opponents who will try to impose their respective styles in the ring.
