The Swedish based in the US, Badou Jack, won the World Boxing Association (WBA) Light Heavyweight Title after beating British Nathan Cleverly in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Saturday.
Jack and Cleverly exchanged blows in the short distance during the first round. However, “The Ripper” was more offensive in later rounds and dominated the fight from start to finish, while “Clev” did not punch.
In the fourth round, Jack cut Cleverly’s face and, in the fifth round, he continued his attack and forced the referee Tonny Weeks to stop the fight and thus win by TKO at 2 minutes 47 seconds.
Jack left his record in 22 wins, 1 loss, 2 draws and 13 knockouts.
