The Cuban Rances Barthelemy won the World Boxing Association super lightweight elimination fight against Belarusian Kiryl Relikh.
Both gladiators’ performance was very similar, each of them was knocked down. The first knock down was for Barthelemy in the fifth round and the second was for his opponent when the Cuban gave the Byelorussian his due.
The 12 round were very similar and the score cards gave Barthelemy a unanimous decision 116-110, 115-111 and 117-109.
The Cuban wins the first slot in the WBA 140 lbs. ranking and the right to fight Namibian champion Julius Indongo.
