Undisputed super featherweight champion Aliycia Baumgardner will return to the ring on July 15 to face Christina Linardatou in a rematch fight at the Masonic Temple in Detroit, Michigan.
It will be a very special fight for the champion, who will make her first presentation as the owner of the four belts of the division and, in addition, it will be with the only opponent who has beaten her in her entire professional career.
The American champion lost to Linardatou by split decision in July 2018, but recovered from that setback to string together an eight-fight winning streak and reach the position she is in today.
Linardatou is an experienced Greek fighter with a good pro career in which she has only lost to Katie Taylor and Delfine Persoon. She knows how to fight Baumgardner and now she wants to repeat the dose but in a much more important context for all the belts.
The bout will be the main event of the Matchroom event on July 15, which will feature the debut of Cuban Andy Cruz in a 10-round bout against Mexican veteran Juan Carlos Burgos.
