Erik Bazinyan will defend his North American Boxing Association (NABA) World Boxing Association (WBA) super middleweight crown against veteran Alantez Fox on Thursday at the Casino de Montreal.
The Armenian-born Canadian won his title in his most recent fight against Argentina’s Marcelo Coceres in June of last year. Bazinyan is a strong fighter with a lot of stamina who has knocked out four of his last five opponents, which is evidence of the great moment he is living.
He has made most of his career in Canada, although he has made a couple of appearances in the United States and one in Mexico. At 28 years old, he is one of the most exciting talents at 168 pounds and wants to continue to show what he is capable of until he gets into the elite of the division.
Fox, 30, is known in the boxing world for having faced good fighters and for having a fairly respectable career. In his last fight he lost by knockout to world champion David Morrell, so he is looking to get back on track and return to winning ways in this opportunity.
This Wednesday they will step into the ring, the last step before Thursday’s fight. Bazinyan is undefeated in 28 fights, 21 of them won by knockout. On Fox’s side, his record is 28 wins, 3 losses, 1 draw and 13 knockouts.
