Argentine Braian Suarez is the national light heavyweight champion and the most important talent in the category for the South American country. This Friday he will have his most important fight when he faces Venezuelan Albert Ramirez for the World Boxing Association (WBA) Continental Americas title.
In an interview with Boxeo de Primera, the 30-year-old fighter talked about his career and his time in soccer before becoming a boxer. He did not have an extensive amateur career but he got to participate in important events such as the World Series Boxing.
All this helped him to become one of the most outstanding boxers of today and to earn the opportunity to dispute this regional title next Friday at the Casino de Buenos Aires.
“The fight comes at a great time for me. In March I fought an opponent who demanded the best of me. I’m already 30 years old, I can’t let time go by. It’s a fight that will help us know where we stand”, said the Argentinean in the interview with the TyC Sports program.
Suarez said that he respects his rival but that his only goal is victory and that he is going to get it at all costs.
