World Boxing Association (WBA) super welterweight champion Hannah Rankin will face Terri Harper in defense of her world title this Saturday at the Nottingham Arena in Nottingham, United Kingdom.

Both British women will star in the night’s co-main event in a good weekend evening that will feature several interesting bouts.

Rankin, 32, from Luss, Scotland, will be making the second defense of her belt, which she won in November of last year by defeating veteran Maria Lindbergh in Tottenham. She beat Alejandra Ayala last May to make her first defense and will now put her title back on the line.

Harper is taking on a big challenge as she moves up in weight and fights the champion. The 25-year-old native of Debany Main, England, is a quality fighter who will be looking to strip Rankin of her crown. Harper has only one career loss to Alycia Baumgardner and will be looking to continue her rise to the top.

Both have participated in several promotional activities this week and will step on the scales on Friday. Rankin has 12 wins, 5 losses and 3 knockouts, while Harper has 12 wins, 1 loss, 1 draw and 6 knockouts.
