Britain’s Carl Froch, World Boxing Association unified super middleweight champion, was selected as the Fighter of the Month in the ranking published by the entity.
Froch defended his belt last May 31 by knocking out George Groves in a fight staged in London.
The Honorable mention of the month was given to Jamaican 126 lbs featherweight champion, Nicholas Walters, who won KO’d Vic Darchinyan on May 31 in Macau.
It was the second title defense for both champions.
In the period from 10 May to 1 June 2014 seven fights were sanctioned by the WBA world title.
In the ranking United States is the country with the largest number of rated boxers, followed by Thailand, Russia, Japan and Mexico.
