Trevor Bryan will defend his World Boxing Association (WBA) world heavyweight title against Jonathan Guidry this Saturday at the Packard Music Hall in Warren, Ohio, United States.
The American will make the first defense of that crown against Guidry in the main event organized by Don King Productions.
Bryan comes from winning the belt with a victory over veteran Bermane Stiverne last January 29, 2021 and exactly one year later he will step into the ring again to defend it.
It is worth mentioning that Bryan was supposed to defend his belt on two occasions during the year but the fight could not take place due to documentation problems of Mahmoud Charr, who was supposed to be his opponent for those fights.
Guidry, on the other hand, will be getting his first world title shot and is very excited about this fight, he defeated Rodnei Moore in his most recent bout in August and has knocked out five of his last six opponents.
Bryan has 21 wins, no losses and 15 knockouts, while Guidry has 17 wins, no losses, 2 draws and 10 knockouts.
