Hekkie “The Hexecutioner” Budler (32-3, 10KO’s) and Hiroto Kyoguchi (11-0, 8KO’s) came in under the light flyweight title limit, with champion Budler coming in at 106.8 pounds and challenger Kyoguchi coming in at 107.0 pounds.
Budler will be defending his World Boxing Association (WBA) light flyweight title against 25 year old former straw weight holder Kyoguchi at the Wynn Palace in Macao, China.
Budler is a former longtime WBA minimum weight champion, who just won the WBA light flyweight title this May against Ryoichi Taguchi in a dominating performance that resulted in a unanimous decision victory for the South African native.
Kyoguchi figures to be the heavy underdog in this fight, bud Budler has recently stated that the Japanese native “hits very hard” and “is not to be underestimated”.
