The late Calvin Inalsingh, one of the most illustrious and renowned sports physicians and a great member of the World Boxing Association (WBA) family, was awarded the National Chaconia Silver Medal Award post mortem in Trinidad and Tobago for his contribution to medicine and philanthropy.
Inalsingh passed away in March of this year at the age of 86 after giving his life to science and philanthropy. He made giant contributions to sports medicine and was an emblem for the pioneering body in all his years as a director.
The Chaconia Medal is one of the most important awards for Trinidad and Tobago and has been in existence since 1969. It aims to honor long and meritorious service to promote national welfare.
The WBA is proud to have one of its illustrious members receive this posthumous award as a recognition of a lifelong effort for the betterment of sport and humanity.
