William Zepeda will have a new challenge in his career this Saturday night when he defends his World Boxing Association (WBA) Continental Americas lightweight crown against Jaime Arboleda.

The College Park Center in Arlington, Texas, will be the venue where the Mexican will step into the ring in the main event of the Golden Boy Promotions event against the Panamanian challenger.

Zepeda is one of the most interesting prospects in the division, but he is still on the rise and must prove that he is at the level of the best in the 135-pound class. He is in a division that has a lot of talent but he has been earning his place with big victories. 

Arboleda, meanwhile, returns to the United States after his loss to Chris Colbert in 2020. After several fights in his country, he will return to the big market and is very motivated, besides having added new tools to his boxing, so he will be looking for the surprise.

The event will also feature Diego De La Hoya and Victor Morales fighting for the WBA Intercontinental featherweight belt in the main event. Zepeda is undefeated in 27 fights, with 23 knockouts, while Arboleda has 19 wins, 2 losses and 14 knockouts.
