The Colombian prospect, born in the municipality of Soplaviendo department of Bolivar, Carlos Utria, will make his professional boxing debut on May 20, during the second day of the WBA FUTURE of Colombian boxing, which will be held at the Cuadrilátero Élite gym in Barranquilla.
Útria as well as Miguel González, another prospect from Bolivar, based in Medellín, are two debutants of the card that will be starred by John Lenon Gutiérrez, facing Yonatan Mendoza, from Cordoba, in Lightweight, and the Mexican Juan Antonio Rodríguez, who will face the experienced Luis ‘Cuchillo’ Díaz in Super Lightweight in ten rounds.
Backing up the bill will be the prospect from Barranquilla, Wilmar Jinete, looking for his third professional victory, Luis Miguel Ruiz returning to the ring and the Mexican, Brayan Gonzalez will face the Venezuelan, Jose Barrios in a six round bout in the Flyweight division.
The program will start at 2:00 p.m. with five bouts between amateur fighters from the Atlantic facing fighters from Bolivar, including all amateur and professional fighters in the television broadcast.
