Filipino Charly Suarez won the March Boxer of the Month award given by WBA Asia to the most outstanding boxers in the continent.
Last March 12, the Filipino fighter scored a great knockout in the 12th round against his countryman Tomjune Mangubat at The Flash Grand Ballroom of the Elorde Sports Complex, in Paranaque City.
With this victory, the 33-year-old fighter won the WBA Asian super featherweight title, a major breakthrough in his career and his aspirations for big fights.
“King’s Warrior,” as the native of San Isidro, North Davao, is nicknamed, continues his unblemished record and has now won all 10 of his professional fights, 7 of them by way of the knockout. The pioneer body congratulates Suarez and celebrates the great activity of WBA Asia in that great continent.
