Derek Chisora and Kubrat Pulev made weight for their bout this Saturday for the World Boxing Association (WBA) international heavyweight title at the O2 Arena, London, England.
The Briton weighed in at 258 pounds, while the Bulgarian stopped the scales at 250 pounds and both are ready for their fight, which will be the highlight of this weekend’s evening on English soil.
It will be a rematch six years after their 2016 first bout, in which Pulev came away with a close split decision victory in Germany.
Now, both veterans come in on slightly negative streaks but their recent defeats have been against elite opponents. Chisora is coming off losses to Joseph Parker twice and earlier to Oleksandr Usyk, while Pulev lost his penultimate bout to Anthony Joshua.
The winner will be left with the opportunity to seek another title shot in the twilight of his career, so the win is very important for both.
Chisora has a record of 32 wins, 12 losses and 23 knockouts, while Pulev has 29 wins, 2 losses and 14 knockouts.
