Chris Colbert proved to be a great champion on the ring a few weeks ago when he retained his World Boxing Association (WBA) title in a great performance against Jaime Arboleda. Now, on Christmas time, he reaffirmed that he is also a champion out of the ring by helping children in need in New Jersey.
Around 50 children were surprised by the WBA 130-pound interim champion, who gave them gifts and enjoyed their company in his restaurant “Primetime Chicken” during this important holiday season.
Colbert joked with the children and gave them an inspiring talk in which he invited them to continue dreaming and to believe that dreams can come true. The 24-year-old fighter is an inspiration to many, and these actions are a proof his big heart and willingness to help those in need.
The WBA is proud that its champions bring smiles to those in need and contribute in different social programs. Colbert is an integral athlete who has demonstrated his interest in helping and extending a hand.
The pioneer organization applauds Colbert and thanks him for wearing his black and gold belt with pride and for being an example to follow.
