The “pretty boy” and “Money” as Mayweather is known, was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1977. He was a great figure of Amateur Boxing in his country, part of the Olympic selection and semifinalist of the Atlanta 1996 games. During his amateur career he added 84-6.
After a decade of becoming professional on the hand of his father, Floyd Mayweather Sr, who guided him since his beginning in the sport. He made his debut in 1986 and ever since has been example of perseverance, commitment and hard work.
He has been a successful professional, and to the eyes of his fans that never get tired of his boxing on the ring performance, and his public extravaganzas.
Undefeated in 47 fights with 26 KO’s, Mayweather fought Marcos René Maidana twice last year, defeating him in both opportunities.
Mayweather is the WBA 154 super world since 2012, and 147 lbs unified champion since 2014.
