Argentine Pablo Ezequiel Corzo will face Venezuelan Fernando Brito in defense of his World Boxing Association (WBA) Fedelatin super middleweight title this Saturday night in Catamarca, Argentina.
Corzo, one of Argentina’s most exciting prospects, will be making the third defense of his regional belt. The 22-year-old fighter has been champion since March of this year when he won the vacant belt against Roger Guerrero.
His first defense was in April against Colombian Alexi Rivera, whom he defeated by knockout, while in August he defeated Facundo Galovar by unanimous decision to keep his belt in his second defense.
Brito is a 34-year-old fighter who is going for his first international experience but has defeated all the opponents he has had so far. However, now he will be looking for a much bigger challenge than the ones he has had before and it is an enigma what he can do as a visitor against Corzo.
The champion has 12 wins, 11 of them before the limit. The challenger has 10 wins, all by knockout.
