Argentine prospect Pablo Ezequiel Corzo will make the second defense of his World Boxing Association (WBA) Fedelatin super middleweight title against compatriot Facundo Galovar on Friday at the Polideportivo Fray Mamerto Esquiú, in Catamarca, Argentina.
Corzo intends to maintain his undefeated record in a new presentation and advance in his promising career, but he will have the obstacle of a complicated opponent like Galovar, who wants to surprise.
The 22-year-old regional champion won the crown in March of this year when he defeated Roger Guerrero by technical knockout. In June he returned to the ring to knock out Colombian Alexi Rivera and make his first defense of the belt.
Galovar, has won four of his last five fights and the one he lost was at light heavyweight against strong Venezuelan Albert Ramirez. The Tucuman native is 28 years old and has the experience advantage over his opponent.
Corzo has a record of 11 wins, no losses and 11 knockouts, while Galovar has 14 wins, 7 setbacks, 2 draws and 9 knockouts.
