Angolan Cristiano Ndombassy, a former World Boxing Association (WBA) Pan-African Super Welterweight title challenger, seeks to help young people in the Wenter Cape region of South Africa through boxing.

Ndombassy, who has lived in South Africa since 2010, opened the Warriors of Faith BoXING Club gym in Strand a few years ago, where he supports young boxers following his own steps in Angola to pursue a healthy life.

“It’s important to commit to doing what you love, stay humble, find consistency and never give up on your dreams, even if that means making small changes for the better. If you are focused and serious about making a positive change in your life, it is worth the effort,” Ndombassy told South African media outlet “The Good News.”

The boxer says his goal is to lead by example and help the next generation make responsible decisions that will improve their future, to unite people in a common goal, because “there is strength in unity”. In this way he hopes to leave a mark within his community.
