The boxing program to be held on Saturday, May 30th, in the Dominican Republic will feature two World Boxing Association (WBA) regional titles and has all the necessary security precautions in place. Among the most important is the quick test for Covid-19 detection, taking place on Wednesday.
Shuan Boxing Promotions explained in detail how these tests will be carried out on Wednesday morning. At this time, the fighters are separated together with their teams and there is no contact between them. Once they are tested negative for Covid-19, they will be able to go to the concentration hotel.
The results are expected to be released within 24 hours to allow for the transfer. The event is being carried out under the guidance of the WBA’s health protocol, always under the tutorship of the Dominican national health authorities and their instructions.
The event will feature two WBA belts. The main event will be for the WBA-Fedelatin title between Norbelto “Meneíto” Jiménez, former world title challenger, and Eliézer “Campeoncito” Aquino. Juan Carlos Cordones and José Luis Salazar will fight for the WBA-Fedecaribe Super Lightweight in the undercard.
