Argentina’s Brian “Elegante” Chaves retained his WBA FEDEBOL Welterweight belt after defeating compatriot Carlos Armando Santana by knockout in the fifth round with precision. The young boxer was the star of the main fight at the Multifunction Complex in the city of Perez in the province of Santa Fe, Argentina.
With absolute dominance from the opening bell, Chaves, faithful to his stylist rhythm in the ring, kept a great solid technique until the fifth round when he managed to hit Santana with a powerful uppercut in the mid section that left him out of the fight.
Chaves, 28 years old, has a great amateur past where he built the style that distinguishes him. In addition, he is part of a family of boxing history.
This young Argentinean continues on the winning path and keeps the WBA Welterweight regional belt with a view to position himself among the greats of the division.
