Two middleweight prospects will meet this Saturday in a World Boxing Association (WBA) eliminator fight. Elijah Garcia will face Jose Armando Resendiz as part of the undercard of the night featuring Canelo and Charlo fight.

Garcia is just 20 years old and has shown he has the talent and power to rise to the top, so this eliminator is very important for his career and aspirations.

The Arizona native first made his big breakthrough in March when he knocked out fellow prospect Amilcar Vidal in just four rounds and then returned to the ring in April for another unanimous decision win over Kevin Salgado. Now he will face another tough Mexican and wants to pass a new test.

Resendiz has fought several times in the United States and has been adapting to this market. He has two wins in a row on U.S. soil and knows that this opportunity is very important because it is an eliminator and against a top prospect.

Both will have their weigh-ins on Friday, where they must weigh 160 pounds or less to qualify for the eliminator and on Saturday they will star in one of the most interesting fights on the undercard of this great show.

Garcia is undefeated in 15 fights, with 12 knockouts, while Resendiz has 14 wins, 1 loss and 10 knockouts.
