Gilberto Jesús Mendoza, president of the World Boxing Association (WBA), held on Wednesday an important meeting in Medellin, Colombia, with Giovanny Ruíz, assistant manager of Sport and Recreational Development of Inder Medellin, an institution responsible for governing sport in the city, to involve the community in the WBA 96th Convention.
During the meeting, Mendoza showed Ruiz the plans that the WBA plans to develop from October 30 to November 2 during the Convention and how this can benefit citizens since the intention is to show that boxing is a vehicle for social improvement.
Also, the WBA President promised Giovanny Ruiz that everything that happens during the WBA 96th Convention will be the beginning of a long-term project that the organization wants to develop in the city of Medellin and extend to all parts of the world.
