Gilberto Jesus Mendoza, President of the World Boxing Association, leaves for Asia this Friday, February 17th, to start an important tour in the region.
His first stop will be this Sunday, February 19th in Taiwan, where he will hold a meeting with Dr. Ching-Kuo Wu, President of the Amateur International Boxing Association (AIBA). At that meeting, Dr. Wu and Mr. Mendoza will go deeper into the topics discussed in Vargas, Venezuela, last year, to try to carry out joint projects.
In addition, Mr. Mendoza will propose to AIBA that other global organizations are incorporated to further meetings, as his maximum goal is the union of all entities in this sport.
Later, the WBA President will visit Japan to formalize the creation of WBA-Asia, a regional body that will regulate the activity for the World Boxing Association in that continent
