The WBA Championships Committee is opening the following World Title Fights to Purse Bids.
The first purse bid involves the much anticipated fight between WBA-IBF Unified middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (36-0, 33 KOs), the undefeated knockout artist from Los Angeles, California, by way of Karaganda, Kazakhstan, and WBA World middleweight champion Daniel Jacobs (32-1, 29 KOs), the “Miracle Man” from Brooklyn, New York.
The minimum bid on the fight is US$400,000, with the purse split 75% for Golovkin and 25% for Jacobs.
The second purse bid concerns the fight between WBA Super World super bantamweight champion Guillermo Rigondeaux (17-0, 11 KOs), the master boxer from Miami, Florida, by way of Santiago de Cuba, Cuba, and Moises Flores (25-0, 17 KOs), the rugged warrior from Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico.
The minimum bid on the fight is US$150,000 with the purse split 75% for Rigondeaux and 25% for Flores.
The Bidding will take place on Monday, December 19th, 2016, at 11:00 a.m., at WORLD BOXING ASSOCIATION OFFICE located at: Avenida Aquilino de la Guardia c/c Calle 47, PH Ocean Plaza, Office 14-05, Marbella, Panama, Panama.
The Bidding will be directed by WBA Championship Committee Vice Chairman Mr. Aurelio Fiengo.
