Two-division WBA world champion Roman “Chocolatito” Gonzalez arrived home Monday night at the Agusto C. Sandino International Airport in Managua, Nicaragua where he was greeted as a national hero after his KO over Francisco Rosas in Japan to win the WBA interim light flyweight world crown. “I thank you for this welcome,” said Gonzalez. “I look forward to being world champion and winning another title for Nicaragua. My mind is set on Juan Carlos Reveco, Giovanni Segura, Ivan Calderon and even the winner of Luis Lazarte and Ulises ‘Archie’ Solis.” His victory makes him the sixth Nicaraguan double world champion, joining Alexis Arguello, Rosendo Alvarez, Adonis Rivas, Luis Perez and Ricardo Mayorga.
