Arsen Goulamirian will defend his World Boxing Association (WBA) cruiserweight belt against Gilberto Ramírez this Saturday at the YouTube Theater in Inglewood, California.
The Frenchman of Armenian origin will make his debut on American soil after a long process and is ready to show what he is capable of in the most important boxing market.
The undefeated 36-year-old, who has a long reign at 200 pounds, will make his fifth defense after almost two years of inactivity due to various problems. In his most recent fight he defeated Aleksei Egorov in France with a fairly dominant unanimous decision for the champion.
On the other side will be Ramírez, a well-known boxer in the world who will have a new opportunity for a world title. The Mexican lost against Dmitry Bivol in 2022 in a fight for the light heavyweight world title and has now risen to a new category in which he has a great opportunity to achieve his goal.
Goulamirian has 27 wins, has not known defeat and has knocked out 19 rivals, while Ramírez has 45 wins, 1 loss and 30 knockouts.
