Former world champion Hannah Rankin received an invitation to 10 Downing Street, the UK Prime Minister’s office, to talk about boxing’s influence in youth development and different social projects.
Rankin shared images with the officials during their meeting and highlighted the Boxwise project, which they discussed. This is an initiative where the champion collaborates and which aims to bring children closer to sports and keep them away from crime.
The project has brought great results and seeks to continue strengthening to help more and more children and adolescents throughout the country, so it has generated the attention of the authorities, who seek to contribute to it.
The WBA applauds this type of initiative and thanks Rankin for the work she is doing. The Scot is an all-around athlete who does a great job both in and out of the ring and is a great example for the youth.
