The World Boxing Association (WBA) women’s rankings were released Wednesday with all the appropriate changes and Britain’s Hannah Rankin was named fighter of the month for May.
Rankin defended her WBA super welterweight title for the first time last May 13 and knocked out Alejandra Ayala to retain her crown.
Ranking continues to position herself as one of the most outstanding in the world in the category thanks to her effort and talent, which is why she was awarded with the highest award of the month of May.
The WBA also thanks Rankin for her involvement in the recovery of her opponent, who was hospitalized after the fight but has been doing much better and is recovering after what happened.
The women’s ranking lists can be reviewed in the corresponding section of the pioneering body’s website.
