Nathan Heaney will face Jack Flatley in a second straight fight this Saturday with the World Boxing Association (WBA) Continental middleweight title on the line.
The bout will take place at the Telford International Centre, Telford, United Kingdom, in the event organized by Queenberry Promotions.
Heaney defeated Flatley in their first fight, held last September 24 in Manchester. On that occasion, the fight was stopped due to a cut near the right eye suffered by Heaney due to an accidental headbutt. Going to the scorecards, Heaney was on top after the fifth round and won the technical decision.
With a lot unfinished business between the two, they will now have a great rematch and the pioneering body’s regional title will add a bonus to a fight that already has many interesting elements to it.
Heaney is undefeated in 16 fights, with 6 finished before the final bell. Flatley has a record of 20 wins, 3 losses, 1 draw and 4 knockouts.
