Robert Helenius defeated by Technical Knockout to Adam Kownacki in four rounds in a heavyweight eliminator for the World Boxing Association (WBA) that took place this saturday at the Barclay’s Center, in Brooklyn New York.
Helenius, a Sweeden native was facing a strong undefeated fighter, but he showed his experience to get an enormous victory and climb up the ladder to a world title shot.
The “Nordic Nightmare” did a smart fight, walking well the ring, and taking advantage of his longer height and reach to control Kownacki, and he also knew how to hurt him with long rangue punches which helped him to finish the business in the fourth round.
Helenius now holds a record of 30 wins, 3 losses, and 19 Knockouts, meanwhile Kownacki fell to 20 wins, 1 loss and 15 Knockouts.
