Uwel Hernandez and Kamer Maloku will dispute the vacant World Boxing Association (WBA) Continental super middleweight title on Friday at the Historische Stadthalle in Wuppertal, Germany.
Hernandez, who is Cuban by birth but has adopted German nationality and resides in Germany, will have a great opportunity to fight for the WBA regional belt in the main event.
The 29-year-old fighter has already been regional champion of other organizations, which means he has the necessary experience to face this fight.
Maloku, a 33-year-old native of Kosovo, is a veteran who hasn’t lost a fight since 2016 and comes into this fight with 10 knockouts in a row, which is a big boost for him.
Hernandez and Maloku will step on the scales next Thursday and once this step is accomplished, they will be ready for battle. The former has 13 wins, 1 loss and 7 knockouts, while his opponent has 16 wins, 2 losses and 13 knockouts.
