With four days to go until the second fight between Naoya Inoue and Nonito Donaire, the atmosphere in Saitama is taking shape and this Friday they had their pre-fight press conference.
Inoue, World Boxing Association (WBA) super bantamweight champion and IBF, will face Donaire, WBC champion, in a duel awaited by all after their big fight in 2019, in which the Japanese beat the Filipino.
“It’s been two years and 7 months,” Inoue said about the time between one fight and another. “Those three belts in front of me make me feel very motivated,” he continued.
For his part, Donaire spoke about what the fight means to him and the relevance it has, “This is the biggest fight of my career. This is the road to becoming undisputed champion.”
Both will finalize details for the fight in the last days and on Monday will be the weigh-in, the last step before the fight.
