The last press conference before the World Boxing Association (WBA) super middleweight eliminator fight between Daniel Jacobs and John Ryder was held this Thursday in London, England.
The English capital experienced a great atmosphere with the presence of all the fighters that will include this Saturday’s event and, of course, Jacobs and Ryder were the stars of the event.
The experienced 35-year-old American has not stepped into the ring since November 2020 and knows he will have a tough challenge against an opponent like Ryder, who is a little younger, fought a few months ago and has the advantage of being at home.
“Ryder is motivated but I’m looking forward to doing my job this Saturday. I’m back in my happy space,” “Miracle Man” assured.
For Ryder, he stressed how important this fight is for him and that he doesn’t want to waste the opportunity.
“This is a fight I’ve longed for for a long time. There is nothing bigger than this for me,” said the 33-year-old fighter.
With the press conference completed, only one step remains to be accomplished and that is the weigh-in ceremony this Friday. Once they meet the 168-pound weight requirement of the division, they will be ready to step into the ring on Saturday.
