World Boxing Association super lightweight 140-lbs champion, American Jessie Vargas, assured to be happy to fight in Macau, China, and ready to defend his title this weekend against Mexican Marco Antonio.
Both fighters took part in the press conference featured by Top Rank in the Venetian Hotel. Vargas said he was satisfied with his preparation for fight, and trusts he will have enough resources to retain his belt.
“I will begin strong and I will finish strong. I’m going to start strong and will finish strong. I’m going to come out with the victory” and pointed out that training with Roy Jones Jr took him to another level”.
He said that he hopes to make his team proud and those who unconditionally support him. “I’ve worked hard, very hard, and I’m sure that I’ll be a different fighter and De Marco will realize that.”
Mexican Challenger, De Marco, welcomed the opportunity given by the world champion. “I dedicate this fight to my people in Mexico, my family.”
The fight will take place before Manny Pacquiao and Chris Algieri’s.
