Former world champion Anthony Joshua and his opponent this Saturday, Jermaine Franklin, are ready for their fight this Saturday at the O2 Arena in London. The final step to be cleared for the bout was taken on Friday when both stepped on the scales.
Joshua made the highest weight of his career at 255.4 pounds, considerably ahead of Franklin’s 224.2 pounds.
The bout will mark Joshua’s comeback, who is an idol in England and around the world but is coming off two tough losses in a row to Oleksandr Usyk. The Englishman has worked hard under Derrick James to get back to the top and this will be the first test in that process.
Franklin is a tough challenger, he hits hard and has only lost to Dillian Whyte in his career during a close fight. He returns to the ring after a loss as well and is looking to turn things around.
Joshua has 24 wins, 3 losses and 22 knockouts. Franklin has 21 wins, 1 loss and 14 knockouts.
