The Australian George Kambosos will defend his World Boxing Association (WBA) Super Lightweight Championship, IBF, WBO and WBC belts on June 4 against Devin Haney at the Marvel Stadium, in Melbourne, Australia, according to news released on Thursday, March 31.

Kambosos and Haney are two of the best talents at 135 pounds and will meet face to face in a fight that generates a lot of expectations.

The champion Kambosos will have the advantage of being at home and the motivation of making his first fight as champion in front of his home crowd. He is fresh off the most important victory of his career against Teofimo Lopez and the challenges do not stop for him as he now faces another great fighter.

Haney is only 23 years old but he has proven to have a great boxing and has very important victories over fighters like Jorge Linares and Joseph Diaz. The American took the challenge of going to the champion’s house and hopes to come out of there with all the belts in hands.

The promotion for the bout has just begun and both boxers will participate in different activities during the next few weeks. Expectations are growing to see two young and undefeated fighters in the ring in a clash of styles and it is expected to be one of the most outstanding fights of 2022.
