At a dizzying pace, Argentine fighter Jazmín “La Jefa” (The Boss) Villarino has become one of the most outstanding female fighters in boxing. On this occasion, she will make the first defense of her World Boxing Association minimum gold belt against Mexican Judith “Gatita” Vivanco. The bout will take place this Saturday, March 26 at the Bicentennial Park in Mexico City.
In November 2021, Villarino fought against Venezuelan Yenifer León, in an intense exchange that ended in the seventh round when the Argentinian’s knockout came. With tears of joy, Villarino won the black and gold Gold belt in front of the Colombian spectators.
For her part, Vivanco has won her last two bouts in 2021 and has been the opponent of the Guatemalan Maria Micheo in 2020, with whom she lost on the scorecards by only one point of difference.
With 10 wins, 4 losses and 1 draw, Vivanco is an interesting challenge for WBA Gold champion Villarino, who has 5 wins, 1 loss and 2 draws.
