The World Boxing Association (WBA) super flyweight champion, Argentinean Clara Lescurat, will make her first defense against Mexican Naylea Gil Sanabia on Friday at the Casino Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Lescurat has just won the title against veteran Maribel Ramirez in the WBA “KO a las Drogas” held on June 24 in the capital of Argentina.
Now she will have the opportunity to fight in front of her home crowd and showcase herself as champion for the first time. The 34-year-old fighter has had a great rise to the championship and her intention is to remain as 115 lbs. monarch.
Gil Sanabia comes all the way from Mexico looking to avenge the loss of her compatriot Maribel Ramirez and bring the title back to her country. Nicknamed “La Niña”, she is 24 years old and knows she is in the most important fight of her career so far.
Lescurat has 7 professional wins with 3 knockouts, while Gil Sanabia has 11 wins, 4 losses, 1 draw and 5 knockouts.
