The World Boxing Association lightweight champion, Jorge Linares, will defend his title for the second time against Luke Campbell next September 23 in Los Angeles, to comply with the resolution issued by the WBA Championships Committee.
Linares won the lightweight title on September 24, 2016, when he defeated the British Anthony Crolla. Later in March this year he repeated the doses against the “Million Dollar” in the first defence of his title. This will be the first mandatory title defence since he became champion.

“The Golden Boy” record is 42-3, 27 KO’s, while Campbell’s 17-1, 14 KOs.
