The second bout between the Uzbek Israil Madrimov and the French Michel Soro was confirmed by Matchroom Boxing to take place on July 9 at the O2 Arena in London, England.
The World Boxing Association (WBA) super welterweight eliminator fight needed a second part after the first one ended in a dubious way.
The two faced each other last December 17, in Tashkent and the official decision of the bout was a ninth round technical knockout in favor of Madrimov. However, Soro’s team requested a direct rematch on the grounds that the fight was wrongly stopped by a punch after the bell.
After reviewing the case carefully and consulting the authorities present, the pioneer body accepted Team Soro’s request.
Now they will be back in the ring during the Derek Chisora and Kubrat Pulev event in the English capital.
The Uzbek comes in with 8 wins and 6 knockouts, while Soro has 35 wins, 3 losses, 1 draw and 24 knockouts.
