Russian Arslanbek Makhmudov will defend his WBA-NABA heavyweight championship against Polish Mariusz Wach on Saturday at the Casino de Montreal, in Quebec, Canada.
The Canadian-based European will make the second defense of his belt against an experienced opponent like Wach in a fight that promises a lot of good action.
Makhmudov won the crown on July 23, 2021 with a knockout over Czech Pavel Sour, and made his first defense in September by knocking out German Erkan Teper. The 32-year-old fighter has been working his way up in the heavyweight division and this is going to be another opportunity to keep moving up.
Wach will be making his comeback since his last fight in December 2020, when he lost by unanimous decision to Hughie Fury. The 42-year-old veteran has vast experience and good opponents on his record, so he comes in as a great test for the champion.
Makhmudov has 13 knockouts in as many fights. Wach, on the other hand, has 36 wins, 7 losses and 19 knockouts.
