The World Boxing Association (WBA) super bantamweight champion will have a new opponent to defend her championship on June 10 at the Arena Alcalde, in Guadalajara, Mexico.
The Venezuelan will face Mexican Karina Fernandez in her return to the ring for this great event, Matchroom Boxing officially announced. Initially, “La Monita” was scheduled to face Isis Vargas but different problems forced this fighter to withdraw and that is why the change of opponent was made.

The fight will be part of the card that will feature Hiroto Kyoguchi defending his WBA title against Esteban Bermudez as the main event.
Rivas has a record of 16 wins, 4 losses, 2 draws and 10 knockouts, while Fernandez has 17 wins, 6 losses, 1 draw and 3 knockouts.
